Aesthetics


Although Net-A-Porter doesn’t have a brick and mortar store, the representation of the website upholds the standards of any luxury retailer. The website takes you to a boutique like feel via their and allows you to shop as if you’re reading a magazine. Through The Edit, Net-A-Porter’s magazine, and various featured stories customers can shop while educating their selves on brands and current trends.

Navigation throughout the site is made easy with simple colors used for the background and easy to access tabs on the top of the screen. The availability of these tabs, one including a WHATS NEW! Tab, makes it easy for the customer that’s in a hurry and wants to make a quick purchase.

Merchandise is also assorted as if it was merchandised in a store through color assortment. The assortment can be changed to be sorted by Price HIGH to LOW, LOW to HIGH, and WHATS NEW!

The imagery on Net-A-Porter’s site has the highest quality. Each item is shown by itself, and merchandised on a model with various other items in different angles. If the item was featured on the runway that shot is made available as well! Each item is accompanied with editor’s notes, “shown here with” previewing the other items worn by the model, the availability to contact a style advisor, size and fit information, and more details.
